Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your personal information under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
Our Commitment
The Municipality of Quezon, Quezon (the "LGU") is committed to protecting the privacy of every citizen and visitor who uses this portal. We process personal data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over your data.
What We Collect
We only collect personal data that is necessary to deliver the service you request:
- Service applications — name, address, contact number, email address, date of birth, and the supporting documents required by the specific service (e.g., valid IDs, proof of business address, civil registry details).
- Payments — payment references and transaction records. Card, GCash, and Maya credentials are processed by accredited payment providers and are never stored by the LGU.
- Feedback and inquiries — name, email, phone number (optional), and the content of your message, so we can respond and keep a record of the ticket.
- Technical data — basic access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used solely to keep the portal secure and reliable.
How We Use Your Data
- To process and act on your applications for permits, clearances, and certificates;
- To notify you of the status of your application via email or SMS;
- To respond to feedback, complaints, and requests for assistance;
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations of the LGU; and
- To generate anonymized statistics that help us improve public services.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to deliver the service you requested (for example, national agencies involved in the transaction or accredited payment providers).
Retention and Security
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose it was collected for, and in accordance with government records retention schedules. We apply organizational, physical, and technical security measures — including encrypted connections and restricted access to records — to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, and loss.
Your Rights
Under RA 10173, you have the right to be informed, to access, to correct, to object, to erasure or blocking, to damages, and to data portability with respect to your personal data. You may also lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
To exercise these rights, contact our Data Protection Officer through the Municipal Hall, U. Camacho St., Brgy 4 Poblacion, Quezon, Quezon, or through the contact form on this portal. Please include enough detail for us to locate your records and verify your identity.
